Women And Smoking

A study says that 1 out of every 5 women who live in America smoke and they start this habit at a very young age itself. It’s been estimated that most of the deaths occur due to tobacco use than compared to deaths from other diseases. Smoking also affects the lungs thus leading to lung cancer. It increases the risk for stroke, heart attack etc. Worse than this, if a pregnant women smokes then it would drastically affect the new born as well. Unless awareness about the consequences of smoking and methods to quit smoking is taught to the women, smoking rate would be increasing.
