"Montgomery is a city that I fell in love with, and I want to
see our city fulfill its potential," said Simmons, who said he
owns about 80 rental properties in town.
Simmons said he's concerned about crime in
Montgomery, and he believes more should be done to reduce the
cost of "running city government without losing jobs." Using
economic stimulus packages to continue the work downtown, as
well as in other neglected areas, is also important," he said.
