Takes Stand Against Raising Taxes "Montgomery Advertiser - Mayoral candidate Scott Simmons said he is ignoring "offers" meant to entice him to drop out of the race.
Elections Director Trey Granger
said Wednesday that Simmons came to the
Montgomery Election Center on Monday to
discuss his options before the March 10
special election, specifically "what his
options were in regard to suspending a
campaign" and details on how long he would
have to retire his debt.
In a December 18 news article published in the Montgomery Advertiser and posted on the Todd Strange Website Todd Strange told reporter Jill Nolin he hopes to reduce the sales tax by "proportionally increasing the property tax, which would be a more stable revenue source." »
